SErvices Offered

IBT, Inc. offers many services to families of children with autism, as well as members of the community.

We offer training to parents, caregivers, paraprofessionals, teachers, and other educational and child-care staff. This allows all members of a child's community to participate in their learning.

We provide skill assessments to guide program development and functional assessment and analysis services to address problem behaviors. This allows parents and teachers to provide needed services based on the child's ability.

We offer consulting services to write teaching programs to help develop needed skills for children with autism. This includes data collection and progress monitoring to ensure success.

We provide parent education and training in ABA and raising a child with special needs. This includes providing a support network for family members.

We partner with many state and federal programs to make services available to families. We currently provide services under the following programs:

  • Kansas HCBS Autism Waiver
  • Kansas HCBS MR/DD Waiver
  • ECHO/Demonstration Project

We also work with families to bill their insurance and offer a sliding fee scale for our services to families who pay directly for our services. In addition, we are preparing to provide services under the new Kansas State Employee Health Plan coverage for children with autism.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the scientific study of behavior and its application to socially important problems in the natural environment.  ABA is a method of identifying skills to improve, problems to decrease, and ways to arrange the environment to support the changes.  While commonly used when working with individuals with autism, ABA can be applied to a variety of behaviors and populations.  IBT offers several treatment delivery options that are tailored to each child' individualized needs while taking into account the resources available to each family.

Intensive Behavior Intervention - a behavioral consultant works with you and your family to develop an individualized treatment program.  The consultant trains and supervises in-home, center-based, and/or school-based providers to conduct one-on-one training sessions with your child 10-40 hours/week.
Parent/Caregiver -  A behavioral consultant or psychologist meets with the family in-person or online to provide training and coaching in managing child behaviors while increasing more adaptive skills.
Positive Behavior Support (PBS) - A PBS facilitator works with a child and his/her support system (home/school/community) to decrease problem behaviors and increase quality of life.
Individual/Family Therapy - A psychologist will meet with your child and family to target treatment goals specific to your child and family.

IBT offers a variety of assessment services ranging from helping families obtain a diagnoses related to concerns of developmental delays or behavioral issues to helping families determine the causes of an individual's behavior so a behavior plan can be developed and put in place.  IBT also provides the necessary psychological assessements required by most insurance companies to monitor progress and qualify for continued ABA treatment.

IBT can conduct the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS) and Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP). The amount of time spent on the assessment depends upon the child's skill level. Young children and children lacking in numerous skills will not take as long to assess because they will not have many of the more complex skills. If the assessment takes up to 4 hours, the cost is $150 for you, including the cost of the book, which will stay with you. You can then use the book to reassess your child in the future (up to 4 times in one book), to develop new programs or decide on what skills to work on next, and show to other providers and school staff. If the assessment takes up to 7 hours, the price is $250. Also, you can purchase a license for $100 for us to input your child's ABLLS into the online ABLLS program. This would allow IBT to print out summaries and suggested programs based upon his ABLLS. It also has a feature that suggests IEP goals based upon the assessment.
Diagnostic Assessment - Children and at least one caregiver meet with a psychologist who performs structured observations to diagnosis common childhood problems such as autism, ADHD, OCD, and other mental and behavioral health disorders.
Progress Monitoring/Insurance - A psychologist will provide structured assessment to measure functioning in areas of adaptive, cognitive and language skills or provide a measure of autism symptomology.
Functional Behavior Assessment -  A behavioral consultant will collect data about problem behaviors through observation and interview with caregivers, teachers and/or service providers to determine the function of a behavior.  If necessary, a functional analysis (FA) can be performed.  Results can then be integrated into a behavior intervention plan (BIP) to help modify behaviors in the natural environment.

consultation and training

IBT recognizes that it takes a village to raise a child.  For this reason, we also work with community organizations and schools to provide consultation to deal with difficult cases and training for staff to use evidence-based treatment and behavioral management techniques.  IBT offers a course in-line with Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)'s Registered Behavioral Technician designation.  We also offer supervision and training interested in pursuing certification as a behavior analyst through BACB.

Behavioral Consultant services are $125 an hour on a sliding fee scale according to the family’s ability to pay. This involves a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) visiting your home to meet with you and conducting the ABLLS with your child; the result being development of programs for you to teach at home. This would also include one-on-one training with you and feedback on the implementation of these programs.

Online and Hands-On Training is available to parents without being individualized to their child. Typically, the training consists of reading online lessons about ABA principles and then attending 2 days of hands-on training where you have the opportunity to practice these skills in the presence of IBT's trainer, who will provide coaching and feedback. To participate in this training, the cost is $500. Parents also have the option of just accessing the online lessons without attending the hands-on training. The cost of this service is $100, with the signed agreement that you will not share the content of the lessons.

IEP Consultation - a Behavioral consultant will work with the school team to conduct a functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plan to help inform and guide a child's IEP team.
Staff Training - IBT will provide didactic and in-vivo training for staff within schools and community organization to meet the unique behavioral needs of individuals with various developmental disabilities and mental health diagnosis.
BCBA/BCaBA Supervision - IBT offers supervision and training to individuals working towards their Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) credential.  Supervision and training are offered free of charge for those working for IBT and for a nominal fee for those accruing experience in other settings.
Workshops - IBT offers workshops for mental/behavior helth practitioners and teachers.  IBT will tailor fit a workshop to your organization's individual needs.
